Employer of Record (EOR)
Hire full-time staff abroad without opening a company
BP Solutions employs your overseas team members on your behalf. We issue the local contract, run payroll, pay statutory contributions and keep you compliant. You choose the people and direct their work every day.
What an EOR does
You manage the work. We are the legal employer.
An Employer of Record is a company that legally employs a worker in their own country on behalf of another business.
The employee signs a local, compliant employment contract with the EOR's employing entity. The EOR handles salary payments, income tax withholding, social security, statutory leave and HR paperwork. Your business sets the role, the targets and the day-to-day tasks, exactly as you would with any member of your team.
For a UK company this means you can build a team in another country in days, with no overseas incorporation, no local bank account, no local directors and no foreign payroll to run.
When UK businesses use EOR
Common reasons our clients hire this way
Your first hire abroad
Bring on one specialist overseas without the cost of setting up and running a foreign company.
Building an offshore team
Grow a team of accountants, developers, support or admin staff at a lower total cost than in the UK.
Testing a market
Put people on the ground and prove the plan before you commit to an entity.
Moving contractors to payroll
Reduce misclassification risk by employing long-term contractors properly, with benefits and notice periods.
How it works
From offer to first payslip in three steps
1
Choose the person and package
Bring your own candidate or ask us to find one. We advise on local salary levels and statutory benefits, and give you the full monthly cost in writing before you make the offer.

We employ them compliantly
We issue a local employment contract that protects your confidentiality and intellectual property, register the employee with the authorities and complete onboarding.
3
We run payroll and HR every month
Salary, tax deductions, statutory contributions, leave and payslips are handled for you. You receive one invoice in GBP and deal with one named contact.

EOR, your own entity or a contractor?
Each route suits a different stage. Most UK businesses start with EOR and only set up an entity once the team is large and permanent.
| BP Solutions EOR | Your own overseas company | Independent contractor | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legal employer | BP Solutions' employing entity | Your company | None, the worker is self-employed |
| Time to first hire | Days | Months (incorporation, tax and bank set-up) | Days |
| Upfront cost | None | High: legal, registration, local directors, accountants | None |
| Ongoing admin | Handled by us | Local payroll, filings, audits and annual returns | You check invoices and status |
| Compliance risk | Carried by the EOR | Carried by you | Carried by you (misclassification) |
| Employee benefits | Full statutory benefits | Full statutory benefits | Usually none |
| Best for | First hires, offshore teams, speed | Large, permanent teams | Short, genuine project work |
If your team grows to the point where your own entity makes sense, we can help you transfer employees across with no exit fee.
Pricing
One clear monthly cost per employee
You receive a written quote before any offer is made, so the full cost of each hire is known in advance.
Our EOR fee
A flat monthly fee per employee, quoted in GBP. It does not increase as the employee's salary rises, and volume rates apply for teams.
Salary and statutory costs
The employee's gross salary and mandatory employer contributions, passed through at cost with no mark-up and shown line by line on your invoice.
Why hire in Pakistan
A skilled, English-speaking workforce
Pakistan has one of the world's largest pools of university graduates in accounting, finance, IT and engineering, with English widely used in business and education.
Pakistan is four hours ahead of the UK in summer and five in winter, so teams can work UK office hours or give you a head start on the day. Salaries are substantially lower than in the UK, while the quality of work matches what UK clients expect.

FAQs
Employer of Record questions
Is using an Employer of Record legal?
Yes. EOR is a recognised and lawful way to employ people in a country where you have no company. The employee has a proper local contract and receives all the statutory protections and benefits they are entitled to.
Who does the employee work for day to day?
You. The employee is legally employed by our employing entity, but they work on your projects, follow your processes and report to your managers.
Who owns the work and intellectual property?
Your business. Our employment contracts include confidentiality and IP assignment clauses so that everything the employee creates for you belongs to you.
How long does it take to hire?
Once the candidate accepts the offer and provides their documents, onboarding normally takes about a week. If you need us to find the candidate, recruitment adds time depending on the role.
How is the service invoiced?
You receive one monthly invoice in GBP from BP Solutions Limited, a UK company, covering salary, statutory costs and our fee.
What happens if we need to end an employment?
We guide you through the correct local process, including notice, documentation and final settlement, to reduce the risk of disputes.
Can we move employees to our own entity later?
Yes. When you set up your own company in the country, we help transfer employees across. There is no exit fee.
How do you protect our data?
We sign a data processing agreement with every client, follow UK GDPR requirements for international data transfers, and keep employee and client data on access-controlled systems.
